Church History
Dr. Phillip M. Jackson and his beautiful wife Church Mother Ledia S. Jackson are true servants of God. Many years ago, they started their Christian journey at St. Paul House of Prayer Outreach Ministry in Jennings, FL under the Leadership of the late District Evangelist Willie Daniels and Church Mother Queen Esther Daniels. Alongside his wife,
Dr. Jackson faithfully served as a Deacon, Pastor’s Armor Bearer, and Elder for many years. After District Evangelist Willie Daniels’ demise, the mantle was passed to Pastor Kenneth Daniels; Dr. Jackson served as Assistant Pastor. He led devotional service, taught Sunday school, directed church fundraisers, and the list goes on: all without complaining.
However, on April 4, 2006, tragedy hit their home. At the tender age of 20 years old, Dr. Phillip M. Jackson and Church Mother Ledia S. Jackson lost their only son in a car accident. Life for them has not been the same since his passing; he was their pride and joy. Nevertheless, they still glorify God and give Him all of the praise, honor, and glory.
In 2007, God told Dr. Jackson to start his own ministry. God gave Dr. Jackson the name of the church, and told him to go to Jasper, FL and find an empty building. Thus, a new ministry was established – Empowering Tabernacle House of Prayer Outreach Ministry Apostolic Faith first opened its doors on August 12, 2007 at the Scout Hut building in Jasper, FL. However, not all church bylaws were adopted by the
State of Florida until November, 2007.
Dr. Phillip M. Jackson and Church Mother Ledia S. Jackson are a dynamic duo. Although we have faced many challenges over the years having been settled and up rooted four times (Scout Hut building 2007-2013, Hamilton County Historical Museum & Heritage Center 2014-2015, MLK Street 2015-2019, August, 2019 our new location) our Leaders never lost focus of “the vision”. Through teaching principles of sound doctrine, motivational training, and workshops, they continue together to empower and raise up a spiritually mature generation of saints that will obey. They compel each member to live a holy and clean life before the world. Sounding the alarm that Holiness is still right! They are producing a generation who will not only minister inside of the church, but who will be soul winners for Jesus Christ. Who will be equipped to evangelize to a sinful world and let them know that the wages of sin is death, but the Gift of God is eternal life. Empowering Tabernacle House of Prayer Outreach Ministry Apostolic Faith church was and is built on a sure Foundation.
